Directions to the museum The
Butterfly and Insect Museum is located on the south (mountain) side of the city, only 4
blocks from the Quinta Hotel and the D'Antoni Golf Club and about 12 blocks
from Central Park. This would be about a 35 minute walk from downtown La Ceiba
or a 5 minute taxi ride. When leaving, you can catch a taxi right in front of
the museum. As of September 2005 the taxi ride from downtown is about $0.80 or
L15.00 per person.
There is a butterfly sign in front of the museum. The entrance is on the right-hand side which takes you to the back patio where the 1000 sq ft air-conditioned building is located. Downtown La CeibaClick on the picture to make it bigger.
